proof that haircuts can be fun—my photoshoot with McComb’s Barbershop

Back in July 2025, I had the privilege of working with David McComb of McComb’s Barbershop here in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to get some portraits and candid shots of him in action with customers for a website and social media refresh. David is hilarious and a super talented barber, and we had a blast during this shoot, which lasted for about an hour and relied on both natural window light and off-camera flash to capture the vintage vibes of the shop, David’s gregarious personality, and the shop’s unique branding. We both really liked how the photos came out, and David has been able to use them to promote his business online, where his main goal is to create a relaxed environment where everyone feels welcome.
