your one-stop shop for mountain training—my photoshoot with sebastian bailey from etude training

Back in July 2025, I did some branding and portrait photography for Sebastian Bailey, owner of Etude Training and Coaching, here in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to help with a refresh of his online content. Sebastian is an absolute beast of a mountain athlete—he’s a former Marine Corps Officer, he’s climbed some of the most difficult rock-climbing routes in New Mexico, and he’s an avid and serious backcountry skier, among other athletic pursuits.

Through his company Etude, Sebastian provides individualized training and coaching for mountain athletes of all levels, so he was looking for candid photos of him working with his clients in the climbing gym, shots highlighting the Etude logo and brand, and portraits for his website.

We shot for about two hours, using a combination of natural window light and off-camera flash. The shoot was laid back and fun, and we really liked how the photos came out—Sebastian has been able to use them in a variety of places online to help promote his business.
