Commercial videography for La Cumbre Brewing Company

In October and November 2025, I collaborated with La Cumbre Brewing Company—one of New Mexico largest breweries with two locations in Albuquerque—on a multiday commercial videography project to shoot a banner video for their website redesign. Working with La Cumbre’s Marketing and Social Media Managers, our goal was to capture nearly all of La Cumbre’s operations, from front of house to the brewing process itself, in under a minute, showcasing the brewery’s branding, space, and products in unique ways. We had only a day and a half to shoot, so preplanning was essential. I worked with the La Cumbre team to craft a detailed shot list, combining handheld, static, timelapse, and drone videography, and this helped to ensure that the shoot went smoothly.

I began by shooting sunrise drone footage of La Cumbre’s main location before moving to filming aspects of the distribution process, where I utilized a slider and timelapse video. I then focused on capturing candid moments in the taprooms of both La Cumbre locations, mostly shooting handheld. During this time, I also worked with the La Cumbre team to light and stage closeup shots of La Cumbre’s beer, again using the slider. Day two involved capturing the brewing and canning processes.

Overall, the shoot was a success, and La Cumbre was very happy with the final result. It’s not every day that you get to work with one of your favorite breweries, and it was a really satisfying experience to get to know the La Cumbre team and to see how their amazing beer is crafted behind the scenes.
