Commercial photography for Mobile Screen & Glass

In November 2025, I was hired to produce commercial imagery for an ad campaign highlighting the rebranding of Mobile Screen & Glass, a storied glass repair and replacement company with a 50-year history in Albuquerque. The company commissioned a full day shoot of still photography spanning seven locations ranging from residential neighborhoods to apartments to the big finale—shots of the company’s newly wrapped trucks with a stunning view of the Sandia Mountains in the background.

The shot list was substantial, and I had a large crew assisting me as we traveled from scene to scene, setting up shots of employees interacting with actors portraying customers and focusing on the company’s new trucks, logo, and color scheme. I kept my kit light so that we could move quickly—two cameras, three lenses, a tripod and stepladder, and two strobes with lightweight stands and modifiers.

We began the day getting shots of the crew and trucks in residential neighborhoods. The goal was to produce imagery that felt crisp and professional, with true-to-life colors and a feeling of authenticity. For this portion of the day, we traveled between four different homes in Albuquerque, setting up shots with seven different crew members. Because I did not have information about the locations before the shoot and our time was limited, I had to make quick decisions on the fly about composition and lighting while directing the crew. I thrive in these environments, and I love the challenge. The client was very happy with the final results—here are a few sample images:

The next part of the day focused on photographing the crew and the company’s new trucks at an apartment complex, as one goal of the ad campaign was to remind customers that Mobile Screen & Glass works on apartments, along with homes and businesses. The apartment complex selected for the shoot had lots of shade, which allowed for some interesting compositions and the ability to focus light with greater intention. Here are some sample images from this part of the shoot:

Then it was time for the grand finale—shots of the company’s new trucks with the Sandias in the background at golden hour. These shots involved quite a bit of preparation. Before the shoot, I scouted several potential locations, looking for great sunset views, enough room to maneuver six trucks into position, and seclusion from busy parking areas. I found the perfect spot, along with an excellent backup choice.

On the day of the shoot, we arrived to the area about an hour and a half before sunset to position the vehicles in several preselected formations highlighting the company’s new logo and color scheme. I shot with an 85mm prime lens to maximize compression, using a 7-foot tripod with a stepladder to gain a unique perspective and maximize the mountain views. The client was thrilled with the final results as we shot right up until sunset. Here are few sample images, followed by a short behind-the-scenes video of the location:

Overall my shoot with Mobile Screen & Glass was a success—both the agency and client loved the final images, and I had a great time getting to know the company’s crew and seeing them in action.
